Char Bhurungamari Union is located in the north-eastern corner of Bhurungamari upazila. It is bounded on the east by the Indian state of Assam, on the west by the Tilai Union Parishad, on the north by India, and on the south by the Paikerchhara Union. Dudhkumar river flows through wards 1, 2 and 3 of this union.

21. Condition of water toilet:

The total number of families in Charbhurungamari Union is 4421, the total population is 16505. There are 6 males, 628 females and 28 disabled people. According to the economic classification, 51% of the total population, including the poor, 84% of the people live below the poverty line, the middle class and the rich 10% and 06% respectively. The number of households using hygienic latrines is only 1631 whereas 138 households use unhygienic latrines and no household in this union discharges open defecation. A total of 1222 families use the toilet jointly. A total of 16% of the households in the union use safe water i.e. drinking water from the well-ripened tube well and 64% of the households drink unsafe water i.e. drinking raw raw well water. 39% of total user households use water sources under joint management.
