The total number of families in Charbhurungamari Union is 4421, the total population is 16505. There are 6 males, 628 females and 28 disabled people. According to the economic classification, 51% of the total population, including the poor, 84% of the people live below the poverty line, the middle class and the rich 10% and 06% respectively. The number of households using hygienic latrines is only 1631 whereas 138 households use unhygienic latrines and no household in this union discharges open defecation.
